Presented by K-State Research and Extension Wyandotte County, this 10-class (weekly) series focuses on families eating smart and moving more. Patrons will learn simple solutions and skills to eat more meals at home, eat healthily when eating out, and move more with everyday routines and exercise. Join us and learn how to prepare a new recipe each week. Food samples of the recipes will be available at each class. The focus will be positive changes to achieve good nutrition, increase physical activity, practice food resource management skills, and proper food safety. These classes are for adults with children under 18 living in their homes OR adults who regularly feed, purchase food, and make food for children under 18.

Healthy Food Kits will be offered each session as a take-home.

Recipes include Chicken and Bean Burritos, Chicken and Broccoli Quiche, Chicken Quesadillas, Easy Fruit Salad, Easy Lasagna, Fruit Smoothies, Mini Meatloaves, Oven Baked Chicken Nuggets, Super Stir-Fry, and Tuna Burgers.

If patrons attend at least 8 of the 10 sessions, they will receive all 3 incentives: Graduation, A Cookbook, and Some Small Kitchen Items.

Patrons will enroll during the first session on April 10, 2023 (6:00 PM – 7:30 PM). This is an important session to attend. Registration for the class on April 10 is required.

Families and individuals are all welcome. Seating is limited. Patrons may register on-line, or come in person and register with an associate.
