It’s that time again; the dulcet tones and rhythmic bass sound throughout the library for the semi-annual Kansas City, Kansas Community College Jazz Showcase. This is one of West Wyandotte Library’s most highly anticipated and well-attended events, and with good reason.
The spring showcase happens Thursday, March 9th from 6:00 – 8:30 PM in the West Wyandotte Library auditorium. Professor John Stafford and his students sing and play their hearts out; the showcase, featuring various jazz combos, the funk band, and vocal jazz ensembles play a mixture of popular and classic tunes that are crowd pleasers for everyone. Look around and you will see plenty of toe-tapping, snapping, and clapping. It’s a challenge to sit still during any one of their sets.
Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. We are looking forward to this special event and hope to see you there!
