Ham Salad
Ham salad in an old recipe that originated in the 1920s. It is a mayonnaise based salad, very similar to making egg, tuna or chicken salad. After the holidays, there is often leftover ham and the salad takes just a few minutes to make. I recently found some in the freezer and making a ham salad sounded like a good idea for a quick weekend sandwich. The ham in this recipe can be ground, minced or finely cubed. Ham salad has many regional and family variations so feel free to experiment with your ingredients. If you are up to making your own mayo, you can find the detailed recipe here.
