Join us for the 16th year of this wonderful family program! Grab a net and hunt for butterflies to tag Monarchs as we send them on their way to Mexico.

Saturday, September 18th from 10 am – 3 pm

Activities for the day will include:

-Monarch Tagging Demonstrations
-Butterfly and Insect-related Crafts
-Catching Insects with Nets
-Butterfly Walk on the Nature Trail
-Face Painting
-Monarch Migration Game
-Insect Scavenger Hunt
-Insect Photo Contest Results
-Free Milkweed Seeds
-Make a “Seed Bomb” to Take Home
-Information on Pollinators and Native Planting

*Masks are required indoors for everyone ages 5 and up per USD 500 guidelines*

We will also have local author Eric Eaton in attendance with signed copies of “Wasps: The Astonishing Diversity of a Misunderstood Insect” for sale and his extensive collection of insects displays and biofacts. During the event, we will announce the winners of our annual insect photography contest.
