Our community is known for many small farms and food producers. By shopping at a farmers’ market, one is purchasing nutrient-dense food for their family, supporting local farmers, and making connections with other members of the community.
There are four farmers’ markets in our Kansas City, Kansas Community that are open on three different shopping days. There are two Wednesday markets, one Saturday and one Sunday market to visit.
Shopping at the farmers’ market is different from shopping in a grocery store. Actually, it is totally the opposite. Read up on farmers’ market shopping practices here.

If you want a direct working and teaching farm experience, visit KC Farm School at Gibbs Road. Their webpage is here:

The KCK Farmers’ Market is moving its Downtown location to The Merc Co+op’s parking lot at 5th and Minnesota. The 2021 season will offer three market days at two locations: Wednesdays and Saturdays at The Merc Co+op and Sundays at 4020 Rainbow Boulevard.

I LOVE to talk farmers’ markets! Please contact me if you have any questions! (I may tell you what my favorite market is or how to get delicious raw milk).
