Calling all readers in grades 1 – 5! Come join The Friendly Readers Book Club!
This is our new Virtual Book Club just for kids and is a safe virtual space to read together and talk about the books we love. Based on feedback from our members, we will now be meeting every week on Wednesdays and reading sections of our book together in our Zoom meeting!

You can still choose to attend at 4:00 pm OR 7:00 pm.

Each week, we will read five chapters together on Zoom of A Boy Called BAT by Elana K. Arnold and do a fun activity.

“For Bixby Alexander Tam (nicknamed Bat), life tends to be full of surprises — some of them good, some not so good. Today, though, is a good-surprise day. Bat’s mom, a veterinarian, has brought home a baby skunk, which she needs to take care of until she can hand him over to a wild-animal shelter. But the minute Bat meets the kit, he knows they belong together. And he’s got one month to show his mom that a baby skunk might just make a pretty terrific pet.”
