To celebrate National Hispanic –Latino Heritage month Kansas City Kansas Public Library has created a timeline. Honoring the triumphs and struggles that Hispanic-Latino Americans have had throughout history. Starting in 1846 with the Mexican American War, we have selected 23 points in history to highlight up to today.

It is our hope that by honoring and helping people educate themselves about the past, it will, in turn, allow us all to understand our present. This timeline will provide you with insight into the origin of a large part of the American culture today.

We hope you enjoy this and all of the other programs, presentations, and crafts we will be doing this month!
